Kim Dotcom wants to offer 50GB of free storage with Mega

Kim Dotcom, founder of Megaupload fire, throws a little more light on the Mega project through a screenshot suggesting that this service could provide up to 50 GB of free online storage. Mega should be launched Saturday, January 19.

As we approach January 19, when the official launch of Mega Kim Dotcom reveals a bit more about this project, which buzz with orphans Megaupload. A screenshot posted from his Twitter account reveals the type of page for a free account storage space up to 50 GB.

The same image shows that it should be possible to configure the number of simultaneous connections speeds up or down to maximize the download speed. This accelerator upload / download system - similar to JDownloader for example - would be a world first, according to Kim Dotcom.

Mega closely resemble that proposed Megaupload, namely an online storage platform that can store and share with a click of multimedia content (songs, videos, games, books, documents ...). However, Mega should ensure that each file is encrypted and stored on two servers simultaneously, in two different countries.
