Vuzix wants to launch glasses augmented reality before Google

Vuzix Smart Glasses-The M100 will be available for less than 500 $ HT in the  summer of 2013, a year before Project Glass, famous glasses augmented reality Google.

The Glass Project Google has increased interest in this form of augmented reality. And even if this project has attracted more media attention since its introduction in early 2012, the glasses have not been disclosed to application developers, despite their official launch date scheduled for 2014. Even if Google glasses offer many features similar to those of Vuzix headset, Google seeks to integrate cloud connectivity to headsets that can eventually operate standalone device without smartphone.

But in a recent interview with IEEE Spectrum, Babak Parviz, head of Google Glass, told the features of the device are not yet established and described the project as "constantly changing", which suggests that the augmented reality glasses in general, and particularly those from Google, are a solution to a problem that does not exist.
