Lumia 925: zoom on its camera

As expected, the new Nokia Lumia 925 was officially launched yesterday in London. All attention is focused on the high quality camera, which allows it to differentiate itself from its rival Apple.

Its strong point: a camera (8.7 megapixels) for ultra powerful smartphone. Indeed, the Lumia 925 uses PureView technology, which incorporates highly accurate sensors. It can shoot even when the light is low and all the marketing around the phone revolves around this fact, until slogan: "More than your eyes can see."

Option Nokia Smart Camera can handle the shots after the photo: the device can take around ten shots ("burst") and can either automatically select the best or leave this choice to manually user. This option will also be available throughout the Lumia range through an update of Windows Phone 8.



Nokia also provides a model for the metal band around the 4.5-inch screen (1280 x 768 pixels). The new frame will correct one of the major flaws of Nokia namely its weight. The Lumia 925 weighs 139g against 180 for the previous model. 

  
The measurement Lumia 129 mm long, 70.6 mm wide and 8.5 mm thick. Its battery has a capacity 18.3 hours on 2G, 12.8 hours on 3G and 440 hours if the machine is idle. It features the Qualcomm Snapdragon ™ S4 processor, dual-core 1.5 GHz.
