USA: Yahoo in front of Google in July
For the first time since 2011, Yahoo had more unique visitors in the United States, as rival Google. Success for the new CEO Marissa Mayer, landed there just one year at Yahoo.
Yahoo teams have probably slashed and blasted champagne watching the traffic in the United States, major Internet sites. During the month of July, Yahoo passed by its main rival Google. According to the report of July the company comScore research, including Yahoo have totaled 196.564 million unique visitors, with all its websites (except Tumblr, recently acquired by Yahoo), while Google has registered 192 251,000 unique visitors. Previously, the results for Yahoo were 188.7 million (previous month) and 162.5 million a year ago.
These optimistic figures for the company also offer a first positive result for Marissa Mayer, who took over as head of Yahoo last summer. Over the past year, the multinational continues to acquire new start-up: it acquired a year twenty companies, including to develop in the areas of mobility and social networks. This strategy seems to be paying now.
In the Top 5 ranking comScore, there are also Microsoft (3rd), Facebook (4th) and AOL (5th).
