The new Mega will be launched January 19, 2013

Kim Dotcom said on Twitter that it will launch its service a year to the day after the raid by the FBI on his residence and Megaupload servers.

Early 2012, the U.S. court had issued proceedings against the file hosting site and its founder. Kim Dotcom is accused of infringement and violation of copyright. Megaupload was indeed widely used to distribute illegal software, music and videos.

The new version of the service called Mega certainly offer the same features as its predecessor, but Kim Dotcom has taken all measures to avoid problems with the law.

Users are solely responsible for that will be hosted on the website, as all data will be encrypted and directors of Mega will not be entitled to decrypt.
