Twitter has crossed the symbolic threshold of 500 million
tweets sent daily. This is the CEO of the company that Dick Costolo revealed at
the conference of the Internet Advertising Bureau, which was held in London
last week.
In June, the micro-blogging site already accounted for 400
million messages per day, and 500 million users by the end of July.
Moreover, according to the UK site V3, Dick Costolo
confirmed that new buttons would appear. Currently being tested, one akin to
"like" on Facebook, and the other would be a "star button".
They could also eventually replace the Favorite button. The
owner of the site, however, did not say when the new features will be
implemented.
