Apple put Gigabit WiFi in the iMac and MacBook
Next line of laptops Apple's office will have a WiFi connection faster.
Apple uses Broadcom to integrate the company into its next range of computers, compatible chip with the next standard WiFi, 802.11ac. Known as Gigabit WiFi, this protocol allows theoretical speeds up to 1 Gbit / s. The standard is being ratified, and the first devices are expected in 2013.
If this protocol is already being tested on smartphones, tablets and some Internet routers, Apple would (with PC manufacturer Asus) one of the first to propose on notebooks and desktop computers.
