Java : Oracle releases emergency security patch
After the storm triggered late last week after the alert launched by the U.S. and several security experts for a new critical vulnerability in Java, Oracle broke the silence. The company said in a statement echoed by Cnet.com a fix was posted and available from its website.
The security flaw, updated by the French researcher Kafeine subsequently confirmed by several sources, was already exploited by attacks through web pages bombs that inject malicious code into computers and, in particular, of "ransomware" (malware locking of the user's documents and requiring the payment of a ransom to obtain the release).
But unlike what was stated, Oracle says that the fault involved only Java 7.
