Losing luggage in traveling could become ancient history through Trakdot

Trakdot is a luggage tracking system showcased at high-tech Las Vegas.

According to figures from specialist SITA Air Transport in 2011, nearly nine bags per 1 000 passengers were "mismanaged", representing a total of 25.8 million bags.

Among these 26 million, 85.6% were delayed. Any traveler who one day faced with the loss or delay of luggage once arrived at destination may testify stressful or traumatic side of such an experience. To respond to this problem,  the American company has developed GlobaTrac Trakdot. The size of a card game, the caret Trakdot includes a SIM and requires two AA batteries to operate. Once registered on the device manufacturer's website, you can put the Trakdot in your bag or suitcase to see movements of his luggage while you traveling.

The device works in conjunction with a free, downloadable on Android and iOS, or updates via SMS can be sent to any mobile phone, even the oldest. This app allows you to view a background in real time, but people have to wait until receiving SMS updates locational of their business.

Trakdot will be sold in March 2013 for 49.95 $ HT for the purchase of the unit, it will also pay 9 $ HT activation fee, and 13 $ HT annual operating costs. Other services can already follow his luggage, as iTRAK oR traceMe. However, both systems rely on labels to attach to his luggage. These labels are fitted with codes that, once back on the manufacturer's website, can locate them.
