Solar sensor for smartphone

Wysips will present a smartphone fully functional, equipped with a component to be placed under the screen of the telephone giving it enough energy to ensure a permanent load on the phone.

French society Wysips (What You See Is Photovoltaic Surface) is at the origin of a component capable of transforming any surface support producing solar energy without changing appearance. This solution is based on the superposition of a layer of semi-cylindrical lenses and photovoltaic cells. The optical effect generated is used to produce electricity through the light, whether natural or artificial.

This technology helps to reduce the size of the battery and increase the battery life, while having a permanent reserve of energy. It can be applied to any type of screens (mobile phone, tablet, e-book, etc.)..

In order to know this type of solution, a fully functional smartphone, equipped with this component under the phone's screen will be presented at MWC in Barcelona from February 25 to 28. Wysips wants to sign licensing agreements on technology and attract larger groups of mobile telephony in the world to equip their future smartphones by the end of the year.
