The Galaxy Tab 3 features an Intel Atom processor

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 inch is equipped with 3G and 4G/LTE Intel solutions, but also an Intel Atom "Clover Trail" Z2560 processor.

Could this be the epilogue of a comeback Intel processors in mobility, broadly ? This is certainly what Intel has been working for many months: catch up on rival ARM in mobile devices. Also, the image of the Galaxy Tab 3, he hurries to announce when a manufacturer has chosen one of its products.

The mobile device from Samsung will initially be equipped with the XMM 6262 3G modem or 4G LTE Intel XMM 7160 solution, which gives a real legitimacy mobility. It will be boosted by an Intel Atom "Clover Trail" Z2560 processor, a 32nm SoC 1.6 GHz, optimized for the Android system.

"Our customers select the Intel because it offers the best balance between high performance, energy efficiency and battery life," says Hermann Eul, Intel VP. This model is therefore not necessarily turned to the general public, but rather to the professionals, it seems, even if the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator lets you enjoy quality graphics than sufficient for a realistic 3D experience or for playing  videos 1080p.
