Amazon has benefited from a conference in Las Vegas to announce Payments
Amazon announced in Las Vegas an online payment service linked to an Amazon account. The service is of course offered to e-merchants third parties.
We knew already sprawling Amazon, but the giant e-commerce will become even more: with Payments, he launched an offensive on the online payment and PayPal challenges on its own playing field now, you'll see the flower "button Pay with Amazon "first on Amazon sites and to progressively on those third-party e-tailers that will incorporate the button.
The system aims to be as simple as possible: just have an Amazon account, where your credit card is probably already registered, and click the button to submit an order at a tailer. All information about you (CB, addresses, etc..) Is already registered, you have nothing further to add. It is this simplicity that Amazon highlights from its 215 million active users.
The system also has the advantage of not disclosing bank details to a third party merchant, and thus enhance security, according to Amazon. Note also that each transaction is covered by insurance fraud. Price aside, the system cost to those who use 2.9% + 0.30 $ for transactions of more than 10 $ and less than 3,000 $.
