BYOD: Oracle offer themselves the start-up Bitzer Mobile
Oracle provides this specialist BYOD, creator of a virtual container to isolate applications that exploit the resources of the company on a smartphone or tablet.
Without announcing the amount of the transaction, Oracle says it bought the startup Bitzer Mobile to strengthen its offer regarding BYOD in enterprises. Indeed, this start-up founded in 2010 has developed a secure container, to isolate applications using enterprise resources on a mobile device.
Thus, Oracle can provide to its employees and customers a security solution for their mobile applications. Moreover, Bitzer Mobile also has a solution Mobile Application Management (MAM), compatible with iOS and Android environments, and HTML5 applications.
Bitzer Mobile products should be integrated into Oracle Fusion Middleware. This acquisition proves that in any case what is called a "fashion" BYOD has become a real and important phenomenon for businesses. Recently, IBM offered FiberLink eg, a specialist MDM.
