Turkey soon deprived of Facebook and YouTube
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has seriously threatened to cut off access to Facebook and YouTube after the next elections on March 30.
Recep Tayyip Erdoganv, Turkish Prime Minister, was at the heart of several political and financial scandals. Dozens of his entourage were charged, most suspected of corruption. Numerous telephone conversations leaked, published on the Internet, some on YouTube.
The authenticity of these conversations has not yet been proven. We can hear the Prime Minister ask his son for example to hide millions of euros and dollars. Beside this, we hear complaining about insufficient commissions paid by one or more industry groups.
Why YouTube and Facebook?

Why YouTube and Facebook?
Recep Tayyip Erdogan referred to him as "montages", complaining of having been listened to and accusing the opposition of being behind these leaks supposedly audio montages. Thus, the municipal elections in March will have two possible outcomes: the Prime Minister has promised to leave politics if his party does not win elections. Otherwise, there will be "new measures we take in this area after 30 March [...] including a ban [YouTube and Facebook]."
Recall that in early February, the Turkish Parliament adopted a series of amendments that strengthen the control of the Internet by those in power. These laws have been strongly criticized by Brussels in particular they allow to cut off access to sites without passing through the box and Justice, from the time they are deemed inappropriate.
