Vivendi: Twitter Responsible to the Supervisory Board
As part of its strategy to focus on the media, Vivendi has proposed that the responsible international development of Twitter Katie Jacobs Stanton, from within its supervisory board.
Vivendi offer on June 24 the appointment of Katie Jacobs Stanton, the current Vice President of International Development for Twitter, to its supervisory board.
Katie Jacobs Stanton holds office in the direction of international development since 2010. It is headquartered in Paris last summer. 44 years old and mother of three children, she is already part of the "most powerful women in the world," according to Forbes magazine.
Before joining Twitter, she was Special Advisor to the U.S. State Department. Barack Obama was then appointed director of citizen participation in the White House. Previously, she had held several senior positions within Yahoo and Google, between 1999 and 2009.
Already owns Universal Music Group and Canal +, the French group wants to focus on the media, following the sales of SFR and Morocco Telecom. Vivendi also has interests in the new digital media such as Spotify (5%), Vevo (47%), but in Firefox and other platforms ... as recently reported in Les Echos, Jean-René Fourtou, the current president of Supervisory Board.
