Inbox : Open source messaging alternative to Gmail
Dropbox and MIT alumni have launched a new open source messaging, with a cloud service.
According to Michael Grinich, CEO of start up Inbox "for developers working with messaging is incredibly difficult and requires knowledge of protocols and formats archaic." Services provided by Inbox intended to make things simpler, allowing developers to focus on creating their own application.
Inbox works with various messaging services: including Gmail and Yahoo Mail. Professional users of Microsoft Exchange may request access to the program dedicated to developers proposed by Inbox. For now, the cloud offering is still in private beta, but resources are already available for developers.
