Operating Systems : Apple and Google are progressing in Europe
In May 2014, Microsoft operating systems lost ground compared with OS designed by Apple and Google, but retain two thirds of traffic.
According to a barometer of operating systems, made in May 2014 by AT Internet, it appears that the Apple OS and Google are clearly improved compared to the same period last year. In May 2013, Apple OS and Google accounted for 17.1% and 5% of traffic respectively. In 2014, they represent respectively 21.1% and 9.6% of traffic.
Microsoft operating systems (Windows 7, XP, 8.1, Vista ...) remain the most widely used in Europe, with 67.8% of the analyzed traffic. A decrease of about 8 percentage points in one year. In May 2013, Microsoft OS accounted for 76.6% of European traffic. Despite the discontinuation of support, Windows XP is still one of the most used OS with 11.6% of traffic in May 2014 against 5.2% for Windows 8.1, the latest version.
